Foam rolling is a form of self-myofascial release, a form of self-massage. Fascia is the thin tissue that connects our muscles and helps hold our bodies together. The focused manual pressure and stretching used in myofascial release loosen up restricted movement, leading indirectly to reduced pain. In this class we will use foam rollers and either trigger point balls or tennis balls.
